A BOLTON charity has received a £25,000 boost.
The Bolton Area Supported Social Environment Team (BASSET) were awarded the cash to fund two Bolton-based drop-in centres for three years from the government's Community Fund.
The two centres -- running on Wednesday's at Farnworth Social Circle Cricket Club in Piggot Street, Farnworth, and on Monday's at the Cotton Tree Hotel in Prince Street -- offer a friendly and supportive atmosphere for mentally ill patients. They are also open to anyone who needs support aged over 16.
Centres open from 10am until 4pm.
