LANCASHIRE Police Authority is deferring proposals to change the date for the payment of police salaries.
Members have decided to put the money-saving plans on hold for a year to allow officers more time to arrange their finances.
From April 1 2003, police and their civilian support staff colleagues will move to a common pay date, the 28th of each month.
