A CHORLEY baker was celebrating today after scooping lots of extra bread on the National Lottery.

And lucky David Russell, aged 27, told how he only realised he had scooped the jackpot as he was about to leave home for an early morning shift at Tesco supermarket, Foxhole Road, Chorley, where he bought the ticket.

David checked and double checked his numbers on Teletext and realised he had all six digits.

But despite winning all that dough he carried on to work where amazingly he kept his win to himself all day.

Now the Manchester United fan, who lives with his parents in Westhoughton, is planning how to spend the £4,128,013 windfall.

He said: "I just couldn't believe it. I told my mum and dad then went straight to work and managed to keep it to myself all day.

"I'll definitely buy a car or two and a house but at the moment it's still sinking in."

David said he will treat his mum to a belated 60th birthday present and celebrate her recent retirement in style.

His winning numbers in last Wednesday night's (Feb 6) Camelot draw were 2, 13, 20, 36, 37 and 40.
