CUPID could be heading for your doorstep to deliver a message of love this Valentine's Day.

All Occasions Florist, in Smethurst Lane, has enlisted its own real life winged god to deliver its flower orders all over Bolton.

Paul Pablo, aged 22, of Market Street, Farnworth, has volunteered for the job because his girlfriend Amanda Entwistle helps out at her sister Tracy Gerrard's shop.

Paul, a DJ at the White Hart club in Farnworth, said: "I think it's a superb idea. When I saw the outfit I was really chuffed, I felt a bit like a Roman god!

"People are going to be quite shocked to see me heading down the driveway, but I think they'll have a good laugh."

Paul even plans to wear the Roman god of love outfit to his regular DJ slot tomorrow night.

"I haven't told my mates yet, they're going to have a real shock when they see me in the BEN," he said.

Tracy wanted to do something special for her second Valentine's Day at the shop, which opened 18 months ago.

"The customers think it's great and Paul's a really good sport, he looks brilliant," she said.

But while both Tracy and Paul will be helping to spread love across Bolton, their own celebrations will have to be put on hold.

Tracy, aged 30, who is married to Adam, said: "I'll probably be working late because we've got so many orders this year."

And Paul added: "I've bought Amanda a big card, some chocolates and a teddy, but I'll be DJing as Cupid so we're celebrating at the weekend instead."
