POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery outside a Post Office in Salford.
Three men in balaclavas, one with a shotgun, jumped out of a stolen black Saab as a security van pulled up outside Tootal Drive Post Office in Tootal Road just after 9.30am yesterday.
They drove through the grounds of Hope Hospital before dumping the car in Noel's Court in Eccles New Road and setting it on fire.
The car, registration number P468 GSP, had been stolen from the car park of the Kelton public house in Knutsford the previous night. Anyone with information should ring Salford CID on 0161 856 5040 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
