THE weather took its heavy toll yet again with only one game going ahead in the Bolton Sunday League.
Division One leaders Griffin were glad of the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table to six points with a 6-2 away win at New Edition.
The goals were shared around for the title-chasers with Craig Smyth, Tony Urmston, Steve Settle, Sean Whorlow, Stuart Battle and Pete Read all finding the back of the net. Alex Wardle and Lee Partington replied for the losers.
