MICHAEL Yates who has been at the helm of the Bolton Golf Association for the past eight years, is stepping down as secretary.
Yates, who is also the Lancashire Junior chairman and captain, will be replaced by Glynn Evans, the secretary of the Past Captains' Society.
A past president and captain at Breightmet, Evans will officially take over at the BGA annual meeting on March 4 when Dave Wallace, of Old Links, begins his two year term as president.
