A MOBILE crane lost control on a bend in Daisy Hill, crashed into a parked van and pushed it into seven parked cars.
The accident happened in Hindley Road near the junction with Old Vicarage shortly before 7.30am yesterday. The damage to the vehicles is expected to run into thousands of pounds.
The driver of the crane, which was on its way to Hindley Green, was not injured and there were no motorists in the other vehicles. Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call 0161 856 5972.
