Smithills School and Bolton Sixth Form College hold a Christmas Musical Evening on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
The annual event takes place in Smithills School hall and will feature the Senior Brass Band, the Senior Symphonic Wind Band, the Senior Big Band, Senior and Junior Percussion, the String Orchestra and school choir.
Senior Brass Band members perform after another successful year in which they won the World Music Contest Gold Medal, the National Youth Brass Band Championships, the National Festival of Music for Youth Brass Band Championships, and BBC School Brass Band of the Year.
They will be led by Jessica Bowman, aged 17, solo euphonium. Jessica, who won the National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain Instrumentalist of the Year title, will play a new solo piece in the concert, I Dream of Jeannie.
