MANCHESTER Art Gallery is appealing to people in Bolton, Bury and Leigh to help solve a mystery surrounding one of its main benefactors -- the cotton heir George Beatson Blair.
Staff are working on a new display showing 500 pieces from his house in Manchester, but they have very little information about his life. Anyone with information should contact Catherine Baum at the art gallery on 0161 235 8812.
