REGARDING loss of the St Helens Road bus stop/shelter, which happened 18 months ago, through deregulation.
We, the residents of Smethurst Lane and the surrounding area, are having great joy and are relieved to see our bus stop/shelter restored back in its place.
We would now like to thank Cllr Guy Harkin, our MP Dr Brian Iddon and also the Director of GMPTE, Mr K Howcroft, for all their kind efforts and tenacity in dealing with the powers that be. A very frustrating period has now been concluded successfully.
