VOLUNTEERS are urgently needed in Little Lever, Farnworth and Kearsley for the Visiting and Befriending Service organised by Age Concern Bolton.
The service provides visitors for the over-50s who live on their own or in a nursing or residential home. It is also available to older couples and to the elderly living with members of their family.
If you are over 18 and have time to spare (a minimum of one hour a week), and can offer friendship and support in the community, contact Christine Johnson at Age Concern Bolton on 01204 382411, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 2.30pm. Training will be given to reliable, courteous and patient people.
