A STREET was cordoned off and neighbours evacuated when a man threatened to ignite gas bottles in his home.
The man in his 40s was eventually detained by police officers at the property in Kilburn Road, Radcliffe, yesterday.
He had suffered a suspected overdose and was taken to Fairfield Hospital, Bury.
Six neighbouring houses were evacuated during the hour-long alert.
