IT is good to see solicitors in Bolton getting together to address fears that the town's magistrates court could close.
The lawyers are set to hold a crisis meeting tomorrow to discuss the threat to Bolton's busy court.
Bolton's courts must be among the busiest in Greater Manchester, so moving the service out of the town does not make any sense.
Losing the ability to deal out justice to people living within the town would be a serious loss for Bolton. It could serve a fatal blow to any aspirations the town has to become a city.
