BURY beat Bolton 159-149 in the over 45s inter-league series.
Bolton made a good start when they dismissed seven batters for only eight runs but Joyce Roscoe lead the revival scoring scoring 38 runs, in a first innings total of 94 runs. It was a similar pattern for Bolton when June Duckworth 20, Christine Nicholson 19, Jean Pender 14, Marlene Winter 13, and Sue Bridges 13 runs helped Bolton to score 109 runs after a poor start.
Second time round Bury scored 65 leaving Bolton 51 runs for victory but they were dismissed for 40, June Duckworth 13 and Audrey Price 11 runs, top scoring. The result leaves Bolton with the 3-2 advantage in the series of matches.
