A DRIVER dragged a 13-year-old boy alongside his car after the youth tried to touch his girlfriend.
The incident happened on Tarn Drive in Bury on January 20 when the boy approached Christopher Bly's car.
The boy tried to grab Bly's girlfriend, who was sitting in the back of the car and in temper Bly took hold of the boy's arm and set off driving.
The boy was dragged about 12 metres along the road, and suffered bruises and grazing to his buttocks and legs.
Bly, aged 18, of West Drive, Bury, appeared at Bolton Crown Court for sentencing after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Judge John Roberts sentenced him to serve a 150 hours Community Punishment Order and pay £300 compensation to his victim.
