WOUNDED pride will be Leigh Centurions' driving force as they negotiate a tricky route to the NFP Grand Final.

The hurt of last Sunday's shock home defeat by Oldham has been replaced by a fierce determination to re-assert their authority on the competition.

Instead of putting their feet up this weekend, the Centurions' season goes on the line against Featherstone knowing that a victory sets up a home Major Semi-Final against Widnes the following Sunday.

Defeat, and they're out.

"Of course the players were hurting on Sunday night. They know they under-achieved and the areas they let themselves down," reveals head coach Paul Terzis.

"The response since has been magnificent, marvellous. You only get that sort of reaction from good and hungry sides.

Although Terzis has named his 18, he won't be showing his hand until an hour before kick off. But he has confirmed that Phil Kendrick will be back in the 17.

"There will be changes, but nothing drastic," Terzis confirmed.

Kendrick, equally effective in the centres or back row, was left out last weekend.

Adam Bristow and Liam Bretherton both have broken noses but will play; Simon Baldwin has a bruised knee and Paul Anderson a calf strain. "All are minor and we don't envisage any problems," says Terzis.

Try ace Neil Turley has been back in full training this week after suffering a slipped disc in the days leading up to the Oldham tie.
