rEADING a letter in your paper a few days ago from a lady about Astley Bridge Cemetery, I agree with everything she said.

I have tried for years to get something done as I have three family graves there, and people who take flowers must see the eyesore it is. Yes, the grass has been cut, but is left on the ground for us to walk through.

We are all aware of the louts who have easy access to the Cemetery, so let's do something about stopping them by locking the gates and have security around, instead of giving them easy access.

Most of the people buried there have fought in wars to make Britain fit to live in. What a waste of life, looking around today, I'm sure something can be done if we all pull together.
