A HOME for elderly women in Bolton is turning into a hive of activity in preparation for a charity keep-fit session.

Staff at Redbank House on Chorley Old Road are getting ready for action on July 12, when a two hour fitness event will take place.

Sponsorship money -- expected to total £500 -- will be donated to the Cystic Fybrosis Trust.

In charge of the exercise is the residents' keep-fit instructor, Caroline Avery from Stoneclough.

The 52-year-old also specialises in physio and aromatherapy and she has prepared 12 routines to put personnel through their paces.

The event will start with a warm-up exercise and finish with relaxation.

"They don't know what they are letting themselves in for," Caroline joked.

Relaxation

"But they will love the relaxation, and they'll all fall asleep on me -- they usually do."

Caroline, who has been teaching keep-fit for 30 years, says that "one or two" of the staff are sporty -- leaving plenty of people who will need her good-humoured support.

"I have more stamina than some of the young ones!" she laughed. LIMBERING UP: Members of Redbank House staff get ready for action
