WERE any of your relatives in the WVS/WRVS during the war years?
Or, do you have any memories as children of parents or grandparents involved with the Service?
If you do, Pat Cox wants to hear from you. Pat, who has a long association with the WRVS in the Bolton and Manchester areas, is compiling a book about the well-known care service.
The time covered is from the war years until the end of the '90s or even the century. She would love to see any newspaper articles and photographs, which she promises to return after copying them.
"I'm hoping that there is a wealth of memories and memorabilia out there," said Pat. "We want to get as full a picture as possible, to record the history of the WRVS locally."
Anyone who can help Pat with information can call her on 01204-492330/842850. WARTIME APPEAL: Pat Cox hopes to compile memories
