A TEENAGER looks on as another youth crawls into the back of a car through its open boot.

But the car does not belong to either of these boys and now they are wanted for questioning by the police.

A Bolton Evening News photographer took the picture of the youths who were spotted in the Bolton Parish Church car park.

He watched them for five minutes as they walked up and down, peering into car windows and trying the door handles.

The owner of the car, pictured with the youth inside, has seen our pictures and confirmed she does not know the youths.

The BEN today urges them to come forward and explain what they were doing.

When the woman motorist, who owns the white J-reg Citroen, returned to her car she found the contents of her glove compartment had been rifled through.

And she confirmed to the BEN that herbal tablets left in the vehicle were no longer there.

The 31-year-old mother-of-two said: "When I got back to the car someone had trashed the inside, throwing everything out of the glove compartment.

"It was a terrible feeling, it felt as though my space had been violated."

Now the woman motorist has asked for the BEN photographs to be passed on to the police, saying that as far as she is concerned the youths had no reason to be by her car. When she left the car all the doors had been closed but our pictures clearly show the boot open and the teenager peering into the vehicle.

The foot of a second youth can just be seen poking from the boot as he leans into the car.

The boy pictured in the striped top was spotted along with two other youths walking around the car park, near Churchbank, at about 4.15pm on Monday.

Seconds after the pictures were taken all three youths left the car park and were seen heading towards Deansgate.

Now the pictures will be handed to the police who will investigate the incident.
