CHORLEY Police are seeking witnesses with information about a mugging in Euxton at the weekend.
The incident happened at around 2am on Saturday, July 7, in Talbot Drive when a 22-year-old man was attacked as he walked alone.
Sgt Paddy O'Neill said: "The man was approached by eight unknown youths who started to provoke him with verbal abuse and taunts.
"Things became heated and the youths then beat him to the ground, causing minor cuts to his head and the inside of his mouth and bruising."
They then stole the man's shoes, watch and mobile phone, together worth £275.
