WITH reference to the war between the drivers and the passengers of the B8 and B9 bus route and the selfish parents of the children at Eagley Infants.
Surely, if Eagley Infants is a local primary school catering for the local children in the school catchment area, what do parents need to drive to school for?
If they need their car to go on to other places, surely, if they have time to sit and chat, they have time to return home to get their cars?
I don't think there is an argument in their defence. If the school is too far away to walk, they should find another school for their children nearer their home.
I know many children who live within walking distance of the school have been refused a place because they do not live in the catchment area, so how do these people get their children into the school in the first place?
It's time to put double yellow lines along this area and send one of the much-talked about traffic wardens to monitor the situation.
I, and many other people in the area who aren't fortunate enough to own a car, rely on this bus service. We have had many changes over the past few years and we have finally got a service that is quite reliable -- and it is unfair that selfish, lazy people should jeopardise this.
