LANCASHIRE made a disastrous start after being set 375 to win by Kent at Canterbury this afternoon.
Kent were all out for 240 in their second innings after Muttiah Muralitharan tried his best in what is possibly his last appearance for the county taking six wickets for the visitors.
But Lancs lost Haynes, Chilton and Crawley in the first four overs with the score at 11-3 and with almost a day and a half to bat it looked distinctly grim for the Red Rose men.
