CLUB members took part in two races based at Manley Lake, near Chester. In a sprint triathlon consisting of a 750 metre swim, eight mile bike and 5km run and featuring 200 competitors Bolton's Adrian Selby finished third in 54 mins 17 secs, just 20 secs behind the winner.
In sixth was Dave Clamp who was also first V40 finisher. Junior Jonathan Grundy also won his age category, finishing 14th overall. In17th came Craig Haslingden, followed in 32nd and 37th by Ralph Holt and Tony Cumming who were first and second V45.
For the ladies Carolyn Wright led the way in 71.31, finishing 87th overall, sixth female and second V40 female.
Twenty four hours later over the classic Olympic distance of a 1500m swim, 40km bike and 10km run in a race which doubled up as the NW Championships Dave Clamp finished third overall and first V40. Tony Hesketh won the V50 age group, finishing 27th overall. With one V40 and two V50's, Bolton finished as third team.
