LEIGH rider Danielle Jolliffe and her pony 'Little Atom' have returned triumphant from the British Show Jumping Winter Championships in Solihull as winners of the Kraiburg Junior Novice Championship.
At just 14, Danielle and her pony turned in a superb performance against stiff competition to take the title.
"Although Little Atom doesn't have much speed in the jump off, he jumps cleanly and can turn on a dime, saving us valuable seconds," said Danielle. "That was the secret to our win."
Danielle started riding when she was just five-years-old. She lives and breathes show jumping, as do her parents who run a busy newsagency.
"Danielle is a very dedicated rider and we were all thrilled with her big win," said her proud mum.
Little Atom is only six-years-old and Danielle prepared him carefully for the Kraiburg championships. She has already qualified another of her ponies, Miss Moon, for this year's Royal International Horse Show, and has great aspirations for a future in showjumping.
