A YOUNGSTER'S smile won over judges at an annual pageant in Stretford.
Ayeesha Fox, of Beech Avenue, Horwich, was declared winner of the 'Rosebud on Arena' contest and was presented with a silver trophy and certificate.
The eight-year-old St Mary's Primary School pupil is also the retiring Horwich Carnival Rosebud.
Carnival royalty runs in the blood as Ayeesha's seven-year-old sister, Kareena, is the newly crowned Rosebud in Horwich, but their younger sister Kamara does not fancy donning any lacy dresses.
Proud mum Diane Fox, said: "There were 17 other little girls competing against Ayeesha, so she did very well and they chose her because of her smile and curtsey.
"She and Kareena are often competing against each other, but Kamara has got no interest whatsoever and is a real tomboy." THE SMILE HAS IT: Rosebud pageant winner Ayeesha Fox
