A MYSTERY motorist may hold vital clues to help catch an attacker who broke a man's jaw during a fight.
The 33-year-old Partington man was set upon just after midnight on June 16 as he walked along Wellington Road, Swinton.
Following a row with two other men, he was punched in the face and needed hospital treatment after his jaw was broken.
Detectives want a man driving a red hatchback car who offered the injured man help to contact them.
The attacker was white, around 5ft 8ins, slim, with a skinhead and dark eyes. He wore a beige tracksuit and trainers.
