THE School Governors Appointment Panel of Bolton Council was being updated today on progress to recruit extra governors for a troubled school.
The Deane School failed its Ofsted report in March but has since put in place a package of improvement measures, including £70,000 for more specialist teachers.
Among Ofsted's recommendations were more school governors, recommended by education chiefs, to help support efforts to turn the school around.
