A MAN involved in a dispute with a couple who suffered facial injuries in a street attack was fined yesterday.
Steven Crossland admitted making threats to a woman but denied assault.
His co-accused, Christopher Beck, aged 19, of Bowness Road, Little Lever, had his case adjourned.
Crossland, aged 20, of Hamilton Court, Little Lever, appeared at Bolton Crown Court for sentence. He admitted a public order offence.
The court was told Neil and Eileen Jackson had been out for the night at the Queen Anne pub, Little Lever, on August 12.
As they walked home, they came across some youths at the corner of Mytham Road, Little Lever. Crossland admitted he made a threat to Mrs Jackson but did not hit anyone.
During a dispute, Mrs Jackson was punched in the face and the youths ran off. The Jacksons were treated in hospital for facial injuries.
Crossland was fined £200.
