LESSONS will be learned from Japan in how to provide arts facilities and opportunities in Bolton.
The Able Arts Forum: A Symposium on Disability Arts in Japan, is being held on Saturday July 14 between 10am and 2pm at the lecture theatre in Bolton Museum and Art Gallery.
The symposium will discuss the disability arts culture in Japan. It will also compare the differences in levels of disability provision between Japan and England.
Touring
It will be an introduction to the exhibition Echoes of the Spririt being held at Bolton Museum Art Gallery and Aquarium from December 15 to February 23, 2002, which is touring the country from July.
The symposium and exhibition has been organised by Tanpopo no Ye and the National Association of Arts, Culture and People with Disabilities (NAACPD), renamed Able Arts in 2000.
