A COUPLE had a miraculous escape after their car crashed off the motorway into trees early today.
The male driver and female passenger were travelling towards Manchester on the M61 when their vehicle spun out of control and flew off the carriageway near the Farnworth and Westhoughton turn-off.
Firefighters struggled to find the car, which had spun on to its roof, among the trees and were amazed to find that the couple had managed to get out of the vehicle unaided. The two were treated for minor injuries at Hope Hospital.
