A VAN driver was arrested after he was involved in four crashes within five minutes last night.
In the first incident, the flat-backed Ford Transit van was involved in a collision with a Fiat Punto being driven along Bury Road by Louise Hamer, 26, of Burrs Close, Bury.
Seconds later, after turning into Ainsworth Lane, the same van was in collision with a Renault Laguna, being driven by 38-year-old Alison Griffiths of Ainsworth Lane, Bolton.
The Ford Transit was then in collision with a Toyota Corolla, being driven by Salim Patel, 36, of Blackburn Road, Bolton, before then colliding with a Ford Mondeo at the junction of Thicketford Road.
None of the drivers were seriously injured.
Today a Bolton Traffic Unit police officer confirmed that a 26-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified.
