VOLUNTARY groups in Farnworth are being offered a free computer.
The Little Hulton and Farnworth Partnership's Youth and Family Support Group has three upgraded computers to give away.
They were donated by the Manchester-based Collingwood Housing Association and three have already been allocated to Little Hulton groups.
Each has a new monitor, keyboard, mouse and mouse mat, paid for by the partnership's community and voluntary fund.
Alison Fletcher, of Youth and Family Support, said: "The computers are ideal for local groups to use, they are free and have been upgraded professionally."
Sheila Murtagh, Little Hulton and Farnworth Partnership co-ordinator, said: "We appreciate the donation of computers from Collingwood Housing Association.
"They will benefit local groups that need access to computer equipment but have been unable to afford them."
To qualify, groups are being asked to write to Youth and Family Support with information about their organisation and why they need a computer.
Applications should be in by May 21 to Computers, Youth and Family Support, 100-106 George Street, New Bury, Bolton BL1 1US.
