FAMILIES in Bury are celebrating a £120,000 cash boost. Bury Family Centre, run by the National Children's Home charity, will fund a babysitting service, a parents' support group and a creche over the next three years with the money.
The cash comes from the East Bury Initiative, who were awarded grants under the Government's Single Regeneration Budget. Families in the east area of Bury will benefit most from the new projects.
Manager of Bury Family Centre Wendy Buckland said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this money. It will make a real difference to the lives of many children and parents in Bury."
