BOLTON West MP Ruth Kelly is calling for organisations to nominate their "heroes" of local volunteering.
Those identified will be presented with a certificate at the House of Commons to mark International Volunteer Year. The awards are being organised by the Group on Older Volunteering. The MP said: "I am delighted to be involved in this excellent initiative to recognise the contribution that older people make to our community."
