A FORMER Methodist minister from Bolton has died in Devon.
The Rev Dennis Burton, aged 59, was a popular minister in the Bolton Circuit serving the Astley Bridge Theatre Church.
He came to Bolton in 1979 and was particularly successful in reaching children and young people.
He was also active in the many productions by the Theatre Church.
His funeral was due to take place today in Plymouth, followed by a public thanksgiving service at Plymouth Central Hall.
Donations were being received for the British Heart Foundation and a special trust which is being established to help with outreach in rural areas.

Mr Burton is survived by his wife, Sally, and his three children, Christian, Matthew and Julianne.
