FIREMEN spent two hours fighting a blaze at the water treatment works in Kearsley.
Two crews from Farnworth were called at 8.30am yesterday, after an electrical vault set fire to a motor inside a pump house.
A 415-watt voltage level meant firefighters used gloves and a dry powder extinguisher to combat the blaze.
