TYLDESLEY Little Theatre's Ian Taylor may be aged only 31 years, but is preparing to notch up 50 roles for the group in its next production, Time Of My Life.
Ian has been a member of the company for 14 years, and in addition to preparing for his 50th appearance on stage, he has directed a further seven productions.
He said: "It's an amazing thing to manage. The time flies at TLT and, being ever eager to contribute, I sometimes forget how many shows I've done. There have been a few shows I have not enjoyed but the large majority have been excellent -- I can remember every single one.
"I know my mate David Hadcroft has managed to appear in about 60 shows so far as he had a four year start on me, but I've gained some ground. We've both made this theatre a major part of our lives and have pledged to keep going until we've both managed 100 shows at least."
In Time of My Life Ian will be directed by another TLT favourite, Margaret Speakes.
Time of My Life is by Alan Ayckbourn, and is a beautifully observed tale of family strife. It draws on Ayckbourn's trademark humour, mixed with tragedy.
The show runs from May 15 to 19 and tickets are from the box office 01204 655619, or the theatre on 01942 886908.
