I RECENTLY had a parking penalty imposed on me.
Simply -- I parked on a single yellow line outside the CHC offices in Institute Street, Bolton, where I was doing voluntary work.
After a few minutes in the office I realised that I had forgotten to set the 'clock' for my disabled badge and went to remedy this omission, only to find a parking ticket issued five minutes earlier. I appealed, to no avail, and feel that I (and others) am being penalised for having a poor memory and showing the wrong time on my 'clock' -- I feel so guilty!
Is this justice -- or income generation?
