In Division Two Bury Amateurs celebrated a Pete Hayes 10th minute quality strike which earned a 1-0 away win at Spotland Meths. Ainsworth beat Burnley GSOB 4-2. Des Wilcox scored the opener with a twice taken penalty followed by an own goal. Second half winning goals came from Mark Steele and Steve Haslam. Ainsworth Reserves went down 8-1 at Old Mancunians with a weakened side.

For the second Saturday running Ambassadors hit seven goals with a 7-0 home win over Preston GSA. Man of the match Adrian Wolstenholme grabbed a hat-trick as did Jon Jenkinson who took his tally for the season to 19. Nick Smith was the scorer of the other goal.

The win sees Ambassadors still in 13th place in the table one point behind Preston and Hayward and sets up an interesting finale to the season to see which team has to apply for re-election along with stranded Spotland Methodists.
