HAVING already secured the LFA Youth Cup, where Neil Smith was in formidable form disposing of his opponents' defence in a 5-2 win, Lads Club have now reached the Jubilee Cup Final with a fine win over Hindley Juniors.

In their semi Carl Grimshaw cracked home a hat-trick with a solo effort from Jonathan Ford. They are well placed in their league group and are now chasing a treble of trophies.

In the Under 16 Section, Flixton have their sights on a treble as they are in the semi final of the Jubilee Cup after a great win over local rivals Deans, who they also play in the Manchester County Cup Semis and they too are well placed in their league group. It all adds up to an exciting few weeks in a very difficult season.

Elsewhere, in this age group, there were good wins for Daisy Hill, Atherton Colls and Freestyle Rovers.

In the Under 15 Hindsford Jnrs have reached the final of the Jubilee Cup for the second season after overcoming Leigh RMI in their semi by 5-1. Also in the cup, Wigan Jnr Latics have reached the semi beating Oxford Grove after extra time in a seven goal quarter final thriller. They now entertain Bolton Celtic on May 6 to see who will go through to meet Hindsford in the final.

In the Under 14 Hindsford and Wigan Jnr Latics both stay in second spot in their respective groups after their recent wins. There were good wins for Hindley, Westhoughton Rngs and Ladybridge.

The Under 13 Division is hotting up as there are four teams in Group Hand three teams in Group B, all chasing honours for the league. There were good wins for Bromley Cross, Farnworth Boys, Hindley and Ladybridge in this age section and next weekend sees the semi finals where three of the above are involved.

In the Under 12 Group A there were good wins for Bromley Cross, Farnworth Boys, W/houghton Rangers and Wigan Jnr Latics and in Group B for Deans, Hindsford, CMB and Aspull. There are a number of teams chasing honours in both league and cup.

The Under 11 sees AFC Bolton well in front in their group after their recent win thanks to another Hughes hat-trick. There were also good wins in Group A for Aspull, County Eagles and in Group B for Lads Club and CMB Jnrs. But the match of the day in this age group was an exciting affair between leaders Bromley Cross and Hindley Jnrs who shared the points in a thrilling draw.
