DUKE William of the Worthington's Tuesday Third Division, closed the gap on the leaders this week.

They also gave themselves a chance of closing to within one point of Inter Mivan, who slipped up against Tango Town, as they still have a game in hand against the team at the top.

It was sweet revenge for Duke, who had lost the previous encounter after an ill-tempered and volatile match.

This time around they let their football do all the talking and edged out their rivals 7-6.

Duke are definitely the form team in the league at the moment, which is bad news for Inter, as the two sides meet in a potential title decider next week.

Unless they can improve on their recent form they could see top spot slip from their grasp.

In the Guinness Thursday Third Division it couldn't be tighter, with only three points separating the top four teams.

After wins for Platoon, 5 Left Feet and Bolton Casuals, Fatzio knew anything less than a victory would see them slip from the top spot.

They went into the game with Georgian Old Boys determined to prove themselves as the title contenders for their division, and always looked to be in control. They eventually saw off their opponents 9-5 to stay top.

Reebok Stadium, however, are still desperately looking for their first win and are now staring relegation in the face.

It's a three-way tie at the top of the Sunday Second Division, with last season's promoted sides, Bosslethwistle and Athletico Farnworth maintaining their good form to top the table.

Athletico Charisma's convincing 7-2 win over the Kill Kennys also sees them stay in contention, with all three teams tied on nine points.
