Daisy Hill CC B visited Daves Shoes Keys, and won by the slender margin of 162-157 in J.

The narrowest of margins however, was between Tansy Green Ladies and Advance Computer Systems, when the latter won by one run 92-91 in K. Jacksons Van Hire in the same section recorded an away win then they beat Tonge Fold 126-118.

In this section the first four games were all completed with a total difference of 33 runs separating the teams.

Royal Bolton Hospital A however, ran out convincing winners against Varnish Industries 124-101, when they declared.

Two games will be played in the Finestyle Preliminary Round on Sunday, April 29. Games will commence at 2.30pm unless agreed otherwise. Winning teams should telephone the Results Secretary on the same day, and the home team must complete and forward a match card.

Valley Scooters A found themselves 27 runs behind at the half time interval against Rupert Ladies on week two. They then added a further 66 runs in the second innings. Rupert then batted a second time, but lost batters early. Ann Truffas became top scorer in the match with 21 runs, and K Rothwell 14 runs saw Rupert home 136-107. This leaves Rupert and Heaton CC A with four points after two matches.

Little Lever however, started the season in week two with a win over last year's champions in A, Darcy Lever CC A.

Farnworth District Vets B beat North West Energy 139(I)-51. This must be NWE's heaviest defeat these last few years.

Vause XI, who failed to win a game in the top section last year, held a six run advantage against Daisy Hill CC A in B Section. Although Vause actually scored 12 more runs in the second innings than the first, Daisy Hill also did the same in their second innings, to run out winners 168-164.

Dale XI in J visited Daves Shoes Keys and recorded their second win with an innings victory 80(I)-76.

Little Lever CC B in L, have found wins hard to come by these last two years. They did manage to beat Darcy Lever CC D 172-160. The difference between the match facts showed that 'bad balls' were Darcy's downfall.
