A BOLTON company has put the seal on its success.

Nash Mechanical Seal Services Ltd in Nile Street has achieved the prestigious Investors in People standard.

The company supplies and repairs high-performance mechanical seals to a customer base which includes blue-chip companies in the chemical, oil and gas industries.

It was established in 1977 and has grown consistently -- staff numbers have doubled to 20 in recent years and the turnover has increased fourfold.

A newly-formed management team is now driving the business forward and identifying staff development opportunities.

Managing Director Barry Hoyle, whose father Brian founded the business, said: "Investors in People has helped us manage and develop the progress of the company and all the employees with the result that both planning and communication have improved considerably.

"This is an important award for any business and for us it is a sign that we are running our company in an effective, co-ordinated and consistent way."

Bolton and Bury Chamber helped the company through the Investors process.

Becki Wilkinson from the Chamber said: "The Nash management team and all the employees have worked hard for this award, which is a credit to their commitment and dedication."
