A SOLICITOR who has been qualified for more than 50 years has retired at the age of 76.

Mr Leslie Fletcher a former deputy coroner for Bolton, spent 14 years as a consultant with Keoghs solicitors. Before that he worked for more than 37 years as sole principal of Winder & Holden and in partnership with Winder & Taylor.

His secretary Kathleen Dixon, who has worked for him for more than 30 years, has also retired.

Mr Alan Robins, Keoghs' senior commercial partner, said: "Leslie's experience in probate and trust work has brought an added dimension to the practice and he will be sorely missed by all his friends and colleagues."

Mr Fletcher has six children who are all involved with their own businesses.

His wife Betty died more than 20 years ago.
