LATEST figures reveal that there were 4,764 people out of work in Bolton in March.
It was a reduction of 21 from the February total of 4,785.
There were 3,781 males out of a job in March (3,783) and 983 females (1, 002).
The corresponding total for the Bolton and Bury travel to work area was down by 11 from 5,372 to 5,361.
The North-west unemployment rate of 4.1 per is worse than that for Great Britain as a whole -- 3.5 per cent.
Staff at Bolton Job Centre note that the on-going reduction in the local unemployment rate slowed this month.
