IF only I had my video camera ready the other Wednesday afternoon at 3:55pm.
I use Moss Bank Way almost daily and was near Smithills Deane Road junction.
Travelling from Chorley Old Road I approached the traffic lights at Halliwell Road in the right hand lane wanting to turn right. The filter was on red, five of us stopped, the two inner lanes were on green to go on to the Blackburn Road direction.
While I stopped along came two traffic wardens on scooters (they travel this route at this time almost daily).
They went to the front of the outside lane, where the lights were on red waiting to turn right down Halliwell Road. The male went through on red and proceeded to the junction, he could not turn right as traffic was on the move up from the Blackburn Road direction. When it was clear he went across on red, and then to even more amazement his female buddy decided to go straight across on red even though the lights had been on red for some 30 seconds.
These two must have been on their way back to the depot as I see them regularly racing back to Bolton town centre - presumably to clock off.
