A decision to severely curtail fly fishing until the foot and mouth epidemic is over has announced by the local branch of the Fly Dressers Guild.

However the club do not intend to idle away the time, they are instead to hold additional activity meetings with the next few being dedicated to a self build fly rod.

The very full diary now has meetings on April 18th, May 2nd, 16th, 30th, June 20th, July 4th, 18th, August 1st, 15th, 29th, and September 19th. All at St. Matthews Church House, Market Street, Little Lever. One outdoor activity planned by the West Lancashire Branch is still definitely on, is the Casting Clinic with David Westwood on the 21st.

April at Raygill Fisheries. The 18th is the deadline day for booking on this event and those interested should ring Edward Steele-Wilson on 01204 701998. The eight Junior's in the club are set to have a treat as they are to be taken on a Salmon and Trout Course at Wharfe Lake in Scorton.
