IN order to boost flagging tourism the North West Tourist Board has set up a special telephone hotline to offer advice for the public.
The foot and mouth outbreak is continuing to effect the region's tourist industry - with losses estimated at £8million a week and a potential impact on 200 jobs.
The hotline is staffed by a team of specialist staff. Opening hours are: Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm; Weekends/Bank Holidays 10am to 6pm. The hotline number is: 01942 764 116
